The point break of Pavones is directly in front of the Castillo. The Castillo is 300 meters from the START of the enter spot of the famous point break wave. Surfing Pavones, the Golfo Dulce and the West Coast of Costa Rica is located 5 hours south west down the coast from San Jose.
